Chapter 19- Rude Awakening

Samara’s POV

After waking up to an empty bed, I stretch out my arms and let out a long yawn in an attempt to wake myself up. When I look over at the digital clock on the table to my right, I see that it is three o’clock in the afternoon and that realization causes me to jump up from bed, startled.

In my hurry to get out of bed and start my day, my feet get tangled up in the bedsheets and I feel myself falling to the wooden floor with a heavy thud. An “oomph” sound leaves my lips as I roll to my side to rub my aching butt. After falling out of bed in my haste, I decide to take my time with getting ready for the day and lay back and close my eyes.

My thoughts begin to wander as I lay there on the hard floor, completely naked, except for the part of me that is covered by the falling blanket. Where could Cassius have gone so early? It was nearly nine am when we both finally fell asleep wrapped in eachother’s arms, and aren’t vampires supposed to sleep during the day to avoid the sunlight
