Chapter 29: What do you do to me, Ashianna?

His question lingered in my head, giving me a confusion I couldn't process. We were only looking at each other, and I only noticed he seemed young to be a doctor. He avoided my gaze when he stepped back once again to prevent me from asking him again.

I was bewildered that I had forgotten what I was going to ask him. Surprisingly, his question made me question myself because I took it differently. I felt that I didn't know who my parents were, and he was the one who knew them. He was the bizarre hidden key that I needed to find.

“Nevermind. I'm only trying to mess up with your mind. I want to make sure your brain is perfectly fine.” he uttered, then took a pill from the tray behind him. He gave it to but I was hesitant to accept it particularly when I remembered someone tried to assault me inside the hospital.

I wasn't accusing him of being their companion but I was only trying to be more vigilant. I couldn't trust anyone here in the pack because I wasn't legally a member here.
