Chapter Forty Seven

"Whatcha looking at?". My roommate plopped down on my bed and snatched the picture in my hand from me. "Why do you have the picture of the King of Mercia in your hand?". He asked.

I snatched it back and tucked it back into my jacket pocket. "Nothing."

"Dude, we've been friends for two years now. Surely you know you can trust me with your secrets." Tony said.

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed. He was right. I wasn't living on the streets because of him. The job I had gotten was because of him. Hell, I owed him my life.
