Chapter 45 - I will give you two options

It was thirty minutes past closing time and Joyce hadn't reported to Martin’s office as promised. Crestfallen, he makes his way to her office to confirm if she had left when he bumps into Anderson.

“Where is Joyce?” Anderson asked worriedly, knowing that Joyce would be with Avery.

“She’s not here and Avery?” Martin asked in return, perceiving a pending predicament.

“Not here too. She’s not answering her phone as well,” Anderson’s brows creased as he said. He thought Avery was with Joyce in Martin's office but met the opposite.

“I thought Joyce had refused to come and see me but now, let’s go and check.” The two men walked hastily to the accounts office while Anderson asked,

“What about Trent?” He hoped that Trent hadn’t tried anything stupid again.

“He left after the embarrassment you caused him,” Martin explained. Trent took the rest of the day off and since he was working as a contractor, no one could penalize him for as long as his job wasn’t neglected.
