Chapter 116: To start again

I saw in my peripheral vision the crowd cheering as the spotlight followed Shin’s walk. But in the meantime, I felt and heard something else, if not the loud pounding of my chest as if someone was drumming inside it.

I couldn’t blink my eyes as I followed Shin.

I also keep hearing the word fiancee, or maybe I just heard it wrong? Right... Shin couldn’t have arranged for me. Not him, Andrew should be my fiance.

“He looks familiar,” I heard Darryl whisper.

If Darryl hadn’t held my hand, I might have let go of the red roses I was holding because I couldn’t feel the entire system of my body.

I felt like I ran out of blood and oxygen and it was hard to breathe.

“You have an arranged marriage. This is the surprise of mom and dad?” Darryl whispered. “I’ll talk to them later.”

What Darryl added caught my full attention.

“I’ll come with you when you talk to them, please?”
