Entering inside, as I expected, the program seems to have started. Most people are already eating and chatting with others.

The venue is big, and I think it can hold 500 or more guests. After all, there are two celebrations going on right now.

I felt like I regretted doing the surprise. I mean, I should have told Darryl at least that I planned to surprise our parents.

“Mommy, where are grandfather, grandmother, and uncle Darryl?”

I looked around. Almost everyone is still wearing a mask, so I’m not even sure where my family is.

“Shall we just look for them?”

There were so many people that we almost had a hard time finding my parents or even Darryl because they had mingled with the guests until my parents took off their masks to give a thank-you speech.
