"Has he returned yet?" Alina asked worriedly as her hand shot to her neck to caress as a nervous gesture she had unknowingly picked up over the years.
Roman shook his head in refusal and continued to pace inside the room. He did not want to leave Bella alone with Alina in a room. His mind was racing as he thought about what action to take next. Or what else to do except to guard Bella in her room while she slept on the bed with bandages on her whole body. He did not know what had happened two nights ago or how Bella had gotten so much injured by Damon. He would never had expected for Damon to be so much ruthless to even hurt his own mate so severely, even if he did not have any intention of mating with her.
