She wondered if she had made a mistake by not stopping him when he had come inside the room last night. She had the chance, and she had his feelings in her palm along with his vulnerability. But this time, she wanted him to come to her on his own, and not because she or anyone else forced him to. She knew that because of his wolf's attack on her that day he was now filled with some extreme fear and nervousness. And he was trying to take control of them. But she knew that if this time she went to him, he would never learn the meaning of giving in and confiding in someone else.

She wanted to be that someone else. She wanted to be the person that Damon looks for when he feels down, or exhausted or vulnerable. So Bella just kept waiting for him. Even though each hour felt like a century, she did not try to make any move. She ate when the food was sent into the room silently, without a fight.

Where is this story going? Kinda feeling like at this point there should be something but instead it’s stating to read like a soap opera. Wasn’t she supposed to be leaving? And wasn’t there supposed to be some pack killings? There’s none of that
