Chapter 29

Camilla's POV:

The moment he reached out to touch me, I could have sworn my body reacted quite positively. I'm not sure. And I would have found out if Alaric was not pummeling him in bloody.

"Alaric, stop!" I shouted, panic rushing through me. But, judging from the way he continued hammering his fists into Devon's poor face, he had me blocked out from his senses.

"Stop!" This time, I screamed from the top of my lungs.

Alaric had his twin brother lying on the grass, not wasting any time to throw punches at him. Surprisingly, I don't see Devon fighting back.

He just lays there with his arms spread out, letting his brother materialize his rage by making him his personal bloody punching bag.

"Alaric!" I yelled at him only for him to snap his head up, staring directly into me. His furious gaze felt like a hole boring into my face. Suddenly, I had a loss for words.

"You don't want him hurt?" He questioned, squinting his eyes.
