Chapter Fourteen

Erin's POV

I got to the village where the Huntsman lived earlier than I expected. Lightning was fast this morning and the sudden burst of energy baffled me.

The first man I asked pointed towards the direction of the Huntsman's house. He must have been well-known in the area and I could see how that was possible in a small village.

I left lightning at the horse station and paid a young lad to keep an eye on him. Black stallions were considered valuable; valuable enough to steal even if it meant killing a poor chap for it and I wasn't about to be that poor chap.

The house was bigger than I expected. He must have done well for himself being the Royal Huntsman. I knocked on the door and waited for a response. The houses around looked shabby compared to this one but somehow, the people walking around were dressed like royalty and they looked well-fed.
