Chapter Thirty

Somewhere in my floods of tears, Asher had picked me up and carried me to the bedroom, so I wasn’t laying on the floor right in front of the door. I was unclear on why these feelings had resurfaced, this is the same way I acted when Scott first passed away, but now months later, I thought I was passed it. But for some reason when Connor brought him up, it knocked me right back to where I was.

When I was at home, I knew my friends and family made it a point not to bring him up or what had happened. They knew if I dare even spoke about it, I would be on the floor in a complete mess. Looking back, they ensured and made it a point to remove anything which related to Scott away from my sight. I was never left alone; it was either my parents or my friendship group at my apartment just sitting with me or hugging me as I cried. I will be forever thankful to all of the sacrifices they made for me; I wouldn’t have been able to get through those initial months if it weren’t for them.
