I watched the doe eyed blonde across from Nathan on the enormous flat screen TV, with her polished looks and soft smiles.

Nathan was having an interview. Something about a new tech he was launching.

Why did it have to be with her, though? She looked like every other woman who saw Nathan and sat anywhere within five feet of him. Starry-eyed and smitten with his easy charm. The way I'd been when he'd cared about trying with me.

He never gave me that attention anymore. And I was slowly beginning to find that I craved it. I also missed his smiles and the sweet endearments he'd only bothered with in the glasshouse.

I missed him. I missed all of that. And there he was, shooting the female blondie reporter a hundred mega watts smile that was making her simper, no matter the veil of courtesy and attempt at a professional look.

She didn't fool me.
