Chapter 103

He knew he couldn't leave without at least knowing she was good. He wanted to talk to her. But he was going to wait. He didn't care how long it took.

He shut the door behind him really gently and walked into the room, careful not to disturb her sleep. He crossed over to the other side of her room. He grabbed a chair and placed it right beside her bed before taking a seat and looking down at her. She was sleeping quite peacefully. He sat back and stared at her.

Her hair had definitely grown longer. This was the first time he was seeing her like this. Her hair fanned out behind her head, creating a halo and making her appear ephemeral; susceptible to fading from existence.

Her face was pale, her cheeks dusted read and the moon light streamed through her window, tinting her skin into a lighter shade. She heaved a sigh and snuggled into her pillow before going back to sleep.
