Chapter sixty nine

Selena

The next day, I was sitting in my office, still processing the events of the previous day, when there was a knock on the door. I looked up and saw Angel standing there, looking hesitant but determined. My heart sank a little, as I really wasn't in the mood to deal with him at the moment.

"Selena, can we talk?" he asked, his voice tinged with both regret and hope.

I sighed and replied, "Angel, I don't think there's anything left to say between us. We've both moved on, and it's best to leave the past in the past."

Before Angel could respond, the door opened, and Kai walked into my office, surprising both of us. My eyes widened with shock, but beneath that, there was an underlying sense of excitement to see him again.

"Kai!" I exclaimed, unable to hide my joy. "I can't believe you're here! You didn't even tell me you were coming."

He grinned and pulled me into a tight hug, making me forget about Angel's presence for a moment. "I missed you so much, Selena. I couldn't wait to see
