Chapter 28

The guard woke up first. He woke up with a migraine. To his left was his Alpha and to his right, his Luna. The guard was confused on who to check their health. Should he pick his Luna who was a woman and was hit with a lamp? Or his alpha who he had devoted his life to serve? Who would you have picked?

The guard paused for a minute to handle his confusion and soon noticed the alpha moving. Augustra grunted in pain as he tried to raise his head up.

"Ahhhhh." He growled, "what happened?" He lifted his face to see the guard and moved his gaze to his Luna on the floor. Immediately, he pushed his body off the ground and rushed to her side.

"Amelia. Amelia. Amelia, are you alright?" He said as he shook her body. She did not respond. He took his ear to her mouth and then to her chest. Her breathing was gentle and her chest rose and fell slowly. Something was wrong.

Augustra turned to his guard, "are you a healer?"

"No, your Majesty." The guard knelt still, his head shaking profusely.

"
