Whitney's p.o.v.

I charged at my mate furiously as he took his strong stance. I was about to bite down on his shoulder when I froze from nowhere in front of him. My body and muscles couldn't move. He growled to challenge me then took a step forward.

"Sia, what are you doing!" I screamed silently.

I could feel my wolf fighting for control. She was doing everything in her power to stop me from attacking our mate and that came as a shock.

Never in all my years has she ever intervened in my life or battles!.

Sia was a quiet wolf if not mute.

Ever since I became of age and became a part of me, she has never spoken a word to me. We never had each other's back or ever supported one another. At first I thought she was a shy wolf so I paid no attention to her, but as years went on it became clear she was either mute or she hated me to the bone.
