Book 2: Chapter 32-Irritated

“My friend.” Adrian raised the cellphone he was holding and presented the screen to his wife.

Her eyebrows were still raised, and she looked away from the man's hand after reading the name of the person he was talking to.

“Adrian, are you with someone there?” Jessica asked again when she heard from the other line that the young man was talking to someone else.

Sunshine looked at the man again when she heard the woman’s voice. She didn’t know, but she didn’t like the woman’s voice. She felt even more irritated, and felt like she wasn’t just a friend if she talked to Adrian.

Adrian didn’t turn off the speaker, so his wife wouldn’t think otherwise. “Yes.”

“Who?” Jessica’s eyebrows met.

“Why does she need to know who you are with?” Sunshine couldn’t stop herself from saying what was on her mind.

Jessica was relieved when she heard a woman’s voice and the voice seemed familiar to her. “Adrian is—”

“Let’s talk when I’m not busy,” Adrian interrupted his friend’s speech, and he ended t
