The interior looked like something out of a movie and Mara was taken aback at how grand it looked. Her grip on Lucien’s arm increased and this drew his attention to her as his eyebrow raised

“Are you okay?” He asked her

“I guess, I wasn’t expecting so many people” she told him as he was signaled by the gallery owner

“Me neither but who knew the people of New York liked art”

They walked over to where the man stood with a woman, Mara guessed was his wife. She had that look of sophistication and boredom about her, like she had seen this all before and only wanted it to be over

“Lucien Rodrigues, I am glad you could make it and this must be your fiancée and fashion goddess; Mara Sinclair. This is my wife, Lauretta and she is a huge fan of your designs.” The man said.
