GOING AFTER THE TRUTH

From the moment Edmund suggested that Emily and him ditch work for the day and go to his house, she'd known it was a bad idea. But it was hard to say no to Edmund of all people. Not when he'd just opened up about how he really felt to her.

Emily was yet to fully process everything he'd said but to not look like a total idiot, she'd sucked it all up like an adult and tried to look like she had it all figured out.

Wait, Edmund loves me? What about Charlotte? What about the baby? And what about the lies they'd cooked up for Edmund's parents earlier?

Would they have to come out straight to Edmund's parents that it was a lie from the onset and that they were now serious with each other for real?

There was no way that things could stay the same between herself and his parents if she did that. They'd see her as a freak and Edmund would be forbidden from being with her. It looked like they were going to hold on to the truth for a little while.
