"Are you sure we should go alone?" I asked Colton who seemed alert even by a passing man. He didn't bring any security at such place where we might be attacked and no one would notice.

"It won't take more than five minutes, Eve." He replied and squeezed my hand to assure me. Surprisingly, it comforted me in a strange way.

We took the elevator to the 10th floor of the old building. The paint has peeled off a long time ago, there's only noise coming from everywhere.

"I know it's hard for you to bear this. It may have refreshed some memories for which I am responsible." I heard him saying.

"You have no idea, Colton. The place where I stayed for two years, it was much more worse than this place. I had to spend many nights with no electricity and warm water in chilly winter nights. Marrying you cost me my life." I replied remembering those nightmarish days.
