Even as I worked, the thoughts of Jasamina still tugged a nerve of mine, rather painfully. So much so that I got a slight headache.
" Come in." I half groaned upon hearing the knock on the door. I guessed it was Nessa. The click of her heels was all too familiar
" Here is the coffee sir, I I had to remake it because the first one got cold." She said gently as she shut the door behind her, taking a professional stride towards my desk to place the tea cup, and a saucer underneath.
" Thanks. You can leave now." I stated, darting my eyes to her retreating steps and seconds later, the door was shut again.
I stretched my hand to take the coffee but damn!, I ended up spilling it on the floor as my fingers lost their friction. The cup and saucer followed, shattering into tiny little pieces.
What's happening to me?

It hurt bad, the thought that I thought of him so much for the past five years, that I waited so much....and it's as if I became a memory he dropped behind and moved on." Tears ran down my cheeks. I averted my eyes."Oh Jass...." She came closer and hugged me. I burrowed into her and cried softly. She smells nice and so familiar, but I still wear the cologne of Tann. I can still smell him.She took my silence as a cue to carry on, chiding me softly. "I really understand how you feel, Jass. But, you should have allowed him to explain. You shouldn't have left just like that. He probably has a tangible reason for not coming back as he promised.""The only tangible reason there is, is that he moved on. There is no other reason, Anya. Five years is a long ti

One week since I left before he could explain. One week of missing him all over again. The first three days, I looked around whenever I came to work and during work for him I couldn't find him. On the third day, I even took the elavator to the head department to look for him but I couldn't find him no matter how much I lurked around searching with my eyes.On the fourth day, I'd taken the courage to ask the woman who was carrying the coffee and staring at us at very day questions. I found out the woman is the direct secretary to the CEO of the company, and when I asked...."Sorry, the boss is not in his off

Five words that were like a healing balm to my very soul. "Y-You did?"He palmed my cheeks tenderly. "I did, honey. It took me so long and I'm very sorry.....""No, no, no, don't ever apologize! Ever! You had so much on your plate, I understand how it must have taken so long for you, I really understand, Tann."He lowered his lips and kissed me breathlessly. His lips coaxed mine softly and I gave in to his adore, he doesn't seem to mind my inexperience....Tann never did."I went back after two years but the house was empty. Anya whispered as she came up behind me.I turned and walked out to the small living room while she followed. "He meant Sir Tann." I spoke the obvious."Yes! God, I can't believe this coincidence! So, Tanner is the mysterious man he spent his Sunday with, the man he has been trying to tell us about!?""I know, right?" I smiled as I made my way to the kitchen to check my potato fries. I'm almost done making Tann's favorite. I just hope he still loves my cookings like he did five years ago.

The thought was imprinted on my mind for the rest of the day.I've been walking in clouds since I became close again with Jasamina, Jaime and Anya. Jaimie is such a cute little boy, his presence is always welcomed. Whenever I'm with him I don't feel the pain and loneliness that has become such a constant thing in my life. After work, I went back home on that Thursday evening to see my housekeeper, Marie, cleaning the dinning room and muttering to herself angrily. When she saw me, she gave me a smile that was nothing like the usual warm smile that spreads on her wrinkled face. "Good evening, boss.""Marie, what's wrong?"She huffed, squeezing her rag in her hands. "It's that flashy-looking female again, goes right into

Work your old bones and strengthen it a bit. Thank me later for it instead of whining like a merry old woman." I shot back as I walked ahead of him, a smile on my face."Fuck you, asshole." There was amusement in his voice. "I might be thirty-seven now but I can still take your thirty-two year old ass up to the sky and throw it ten feet's away."I laughed because I couldn't help myself, mostly because Mark is half-correct. He might be on the wrong side of thirty but the man's still as strong and fit as ever."Just get the damn loads to the car and quit whining, old man." I stood just outside the airport and waited f

The material hugged her upper body but flowed loosely from her belly to stop just above her knees. It's an enhancing dress."When did you buy this dress? 'Cause I've never seen you on it." I asked curiously."You remember that date Todd and I cancelled because it didn't work out again that day? I bought this for it." She gestured to her body. That reminded me of Jasamina's boyfriend. No one remembers Todd around her anymore, not even Jasamina herself. It's true that I wanted her to get together with Todd before, but it was mostly because I didn't want to watch her waste her life away because of her bad marriage. Now, Tanner is here and it's obvious that Jasamina's love for him remained, nurtured and flourished
