10. LOVEBIRDS MEET AGAIN
"Don't tell me you're not going to have breakfast today too." Mrs. Mensah stated as she glared at her daughter. It was a Wednesday morning and the older woman was busily cleaning the kitchen counter.

"Louisa." The man standing before her breathed out.Louisa couldn't move. After fifteen solid years, she was meeting the love of her life all over. Granted, she knew she'd definitely meet him again after a while, but then after ten years she had started to relax, resigning herself to the fact that she'd probably never see him again. William woke up very early the next morning. Throwing the covers off his body and trying to sit up, he stole a glance at the sleeping figure lying next to him. She was still soundly asleep.He padded into the bathroom to brush his teeth, trying as much as possible to avert his eyes from the mirror which seemed to mock him. He wasn't even fifty yet but a considerable amount of grey hair had began showing, especially at his sides. His once vibrant eyes were looking tired now and the dark circles under them didn't help at all, they must have shown up due to his inability to sleep the night before. The bathroom was splendid really, spacious, finely tiled in white and the entire setting was well put together. The shower had a huge shower head and there was a Jacuzzi in the corner and a toilet. It was a Friday night, and William and his fiancee had decided to spend it with a couple of movies and some serious cuddling. William had come around eventually and he had realised that he was being unfair to Reggie. All the woman had ever done was love him and give him her all and the very least he could do was show her some appreciation and stop being an ungrateful ass.The living room was beautiful and very plush. It had all the evidence of a bachelor pad but luckily for William, Reggie wasn't really bothered by that. Saturday dawned bright and early and Naa Larley groaned tiredly as she felt the room brighten with sunlight."Wake up...It's morning." She heard Louisa gush as she hastily turned to her side and used a pillow to cover her face."I don't know how you're so energetic this early in the morning but please get out and lemme sleep. You said we'd have so much fun with you here and a-""I know I know...But I'm sure it's only six o'clock. "William are you okay?" Reggie asked him as she combed her hair in front of the dressing mirror. She had been observing her man for about twenty minutes and he seemed troubled. She didn't understand. Everything was getting back on track, and he was almost his normal self..that is, until the night after they came back from the beach, she really didn't get what was going on. Their eyes met, bluish-grey clashing with dark brown and William sighed.How was he going to break it to her that he wanted to end things? He really didn't want to hurt her feelings but he knew there was no way she was coming out of this relationship without getting hurt.He stood up from the bed and knelt before his fiancee, turning her chair so she faced him completely.Taking in a deep breath, he said. "Reggie, I want us to break up."The woman looked at him for a long while and then burst out laughing."Whew William, that was a good one. Okay I admit it now, you're a little funny."

"Should I wear the red one or the beige one?" Louisa asked as she held the two dresses up so her friend could help her make a choice. She had initially decided to wear something simple, but as luck would have it, Naa Larley had voice called her right after she stepped out of her bathroom and when she had learnt of her dear friend's agenda, she had immediately switched to video call to "help her girl out.""It depends on where you are going Lou. "Hurry up Isa, else you're going to be late." Louisa shouted from the kitchen. For the first time in a long time, she was having a morning meal... a cup of coffee and some bread and scrambled eggs, at home. His gaze shifted frantically from mother to daughter as if that would help analyse their features and confirm if it were really true. Louisa herself stood rooted in shock.
