For the first time since she got here, Chris spent the entire day with her!
Well, it wasn’t exactly the entire day since it wasn’t even two o’clock yet.
What Reggie meant was that even after they had had breakfast, the handsome hunk still hung around the living room like some ghost… instead of locking himself in his study like he usually did, even though there was some kind of tension in the air after his outburst about liking how she enjoyed his meals.
That tension had put a bit of a strain on the flow of their conversations, so they weren’t really talking. Plus, Reggie had her phone back so she was much more focused on letting the few people she had in her life know that she hadn’t vanished off the face of the earth.

REGGIE AND CHRIS- New Beginnings “So you’re trying to tell me that our child is perfectly fine?” Chris asked in complete confusion. “Yes, Mr. Ayettey…” The doctor assured him with a wide grin. “But, I thought bleeding was a sign of a miscarriage,” Reggie interrupted, equally confused. “It is, but that is not always the case, Mrs. Ayettey—” “Oh, uh… we’re not married.” She corrected, a light blush coating her cheeks… one that had Chris grinning like an awestruck idiot. “My apologies, then. Anyway, as I was saying… bleeding isn’t always a sign of a miscarriage. It can be sign of implantation of the embryo in the uterus, like yours was… there are other reasons for bleeding during pregnancy, but I wouldn’t want to bore you to death with all of that.” He finished. “But I thought implantation and everything that had to do with that occurred in the first trimester?” Reggie asked after a moment’s thought. “Yes, great question.”

"Hey... sorry I'm late." Louisa smiled apologetically at her best friend Naa Larley as she took her seat."I can't believe you ordered without me." She complained, her tone light and playful.It was their lunch break, and despite being very busy, successful women, with their own companies, they always met for lunch at their usual hangout, Jerry's...at least twice a week.They had been doing this for almost ten years; you could even call it their thing now.
