Chris had always thought that Deidre was a woman!
So he hadn’t even bothered to meet her after allowing her access into his house.
You can imagine his surprise therefore when he suddenly heard purely masculine laughter wafting into his study. He had been surprised and curious, and so he had decided to go and take a look, hiding his intentions under the guise of wanting to know what Reggie wanted to have for lunch.
There sat Deidre, a complete man all right, but with an interesting twist.
Chris slowly felt his anxiety ebb somewhat as he made his way to the kitchen to get started on lunch.
Deidre was no competition?
The revelation that he had been worried that Reggie might have another love interest after William really unsettled the man though.
What exactly did it mean?
He honestly didn’t care. Really, he didn’t.

REGGIE AND CHRIS- New Beginnings “So you’re trying to tell me that our child is perfectly fine?” Chris asked in complete confusion. “Yes, Mr. Ayettey…” The doctor assured him with a wide grin. “But, I thought bleeding was a sign of a miscarriage,” Reggie interrupted, equally confused. “It is, but that is not always the case, Mrs. Ayettey—” “Oh, uh… we’re not married.” She corrected, a light blush coating her cheeks… one that had Chris grinning like an awestruck idiot. “My apologies, then. Anyway, as I was saying… bleeding isn’t always a sign of a miscarriage. It can be sign of implantation of the embryo in the uterus, like yours was… there are other reasons for bleeding during pregnancy, but I wouldn’t want to bore you to death with all of that.” He finished. “But I thought implantation and everything that had to do with that occurred in the first trimester?” Reggie asked after a moment’s thought. “Yes, great question.”

"Hey... sorry I'm late." Louisa smiled apologetically at her best friend Naa Larley as she took her seat."I can't believe you ordered without me." She complained, her tone light and playful.It was their lunch break, and despite being very busy, successful women, with their own companies, they always met for lunch at their usual hangout, Jerry's...at least twice a week.They had been doing this for almost ten years; you could even call it their thing now. Louisa was surprised to hear laughter as she stepped into her house that afternoon.... or should I say dusk. Her watch read 5:00 pm; definitely dusk.
