My eyes widened, mate! What the hell is happening?

Brian tried to pull the she-wolf to himself, but she pushed him. She looked at a man beside her, who nodded before she hugged Brian. She did not act like other wolves that are overjoyed to see their mate. Her smile seemed forced to me. Something was definitely off about her.

"What is happening? Is that Brian's mate?" I asked Reagan stupidly because I needed to be sure that I was not the only one seeing this. The music had stopped playing, and everyone was looking at the drama that was unfolding.

"Yes, go get your friend now," He said and pushed me forward.
