CHAPTER 52

Alexia stressed the last part of her statement for emphasis. She wasn't going to be called a little girl by a mere mistress. The woman could not talk anymore, she went ahead and sat down on the bed. Quietly.

"My husband has sacrificed too much for me to allow you and your son to take things right from his hands..."

She looked intensively at the woman.

"Back... Off"

She said and turned around and left the room. Selene sat on the bed silently, she didn't want this, she didn't want any of this for herself or her son. She buried her face in her palms and cried for a short while before she too stood up and exited the room.

When Alexia got back to Lucian's room, he was ready. He sat on the bed finishing up his shoelace when she entered the room and he stood up when he was done. She was standing at the door and he walked up to her wrapping his arms around her waist, she took hers and wrapped it around his shoulder and gave him a quick kiss.
