Alexia's brows knotted. Surely, the man wasn't going to reject her request because she was a woman, was he?

"Why?"

"We destroyed the weapons meant to kill the Lycans when the peace treaty was signed. We wanted peace wholeheartedly." The vampire king explained.

Alexia didn't speak again. She knew he was lying and it infuriated her. She knew that the vampires underestimate their women but she didn't think they underestimated other races too.

"You are lying Charles." Her voice rose.

The vampire king laughed heartily. It sounded like a shriek and it infuriated Alexia.

"I will buy the weapon. I will exchange it for a human." Alexia spoke again. Calmly.

He laughed harder.

"I can go to the human realm right now and drag one with me down here. I don't need you to believe me. There is no weapon, period." The vampire king spoke. Finality in his voice.

He walked past Alexia and left the room. She stood in the large room all alone, angry.

She stood there for a while, she did not know what to do.
