CHAPTER 60

"I gave him two drops," Alexia said. To no one in particular.

"Oh well, it did nothing to him!" He shouted again.

Alexia left the room. She needed to cool her head. She stepped out of the room and while she was walking through the hallway, Kai grabbed her and dragged her into his room. He pinned her on the door and trapped her with both his hands above her head and his face inches away from her face.

"Do you still need that strong man?" Kai whispered.

She looked at him fiercely. Her silver eyes were intimidating.

"No!!" She firmly replied.

His face fell disappointedly.

"Feeling bad?"

"I was drunk."

"I was not."

"Banish those thoughts from your head."

"You planted them there."

"Let them wither away and die! Now let me go I'll shout."

Slowly, he took his hands off her and she opened the door and stormed out. Into the streets. She began to think about what just happened. Kai was alive. He was well and kicking. What could have happened? Amanda couldn't have lied to her, surely not. She be
