But it seemed as though letting go was much harder than Nora had expected. She had assumed that she could ignore him and allow herself to indulge in the prospect of the two of them becoming friends with one another but she should have known that wasn't true. There had simply been too much that had happened for them to be able to return to some form of normalcy with one another.

Even now as they made their way to his office with her father's journal in hand she felt a slight flutter in her chest at the littlest things.
