100. FINALLY HOME

“Fold back!” I shot out, pushing back with the vampires holding back their troops too. I don’t know why but I was thankful. Three days in that battlefield with no break, no sleep and no food. My limbs were as if falling off their sockets.

Whatever they were going to do next, I knew they would take a day or two so I had time to check on the pack.

We walked back to our camp. The rogues were pests, as soon as they saw that they lost the advantage of the vampire troops, they also scurried away. At first, we would pull our dead but we were too tired, we did not have the time. The amount of my warriors still standing shocked me, having expected less than those I was seeing but it only had me happier. They were strong, fighters. Any other species going through what we were would have crumbled at that point but we stood strong.
