CHAPTER 41 – 1 PLUS 2

*PHOEBE’S POV***

Footsteps shuffle around from the other side of the door. I questioned what might have kept the witch so long. The witch’s house had a nice aroma to it, smelling like peonies and lemon.

Overshadowed by Hudson’s overbearing presence at my side, I found that the scent of the premises calmed me. My wolf stirred within me and I kept my stares away from Hudson.

Looking around, the porch was adorned with a mixture of flowers hanging as well as in pots on the floor. There were freesia, garden roses, lilac, and others that I do not know their names.

The entire time, Hudson’s eyes remained on me. Every movement is captured by his orbs and I know he wishes to say more, but I was not in the mood to hear him. Any form of conversation could only take place after I see the events that he choose to erase from my mind.

“I’m coming!” Silva screams from inside her home, “I just have to take care of something real quick!”

Patiently, we waited as I hummed a tune to distract my mind
O'Chantal

Do you think that this is unfortunate for Hudson?
