CHAPTER 40 - FIREBRICK

-PHOEBE’S POV-

Opening my eyes with remorse, I surveyed the room. The visitation of the sun’s rays indicated that it was morning. Getting up from the bed, the soreness of my neck reminded me of his sharp teeth penetrating my skin. He had marked me. Claimed me without consent. Damn!

Thinking that I was in one of the rooms at the MoonBlood pack house, I meandered out the door. My steps paused when I noticed that the hallway was different.

Drawn in by the sight of the moon-patterned green runner rug, a grey-tufted bench, with a pair of matching console tables. Adding the diamond-shaped mirror tiles décor and the small gallery area featuring Hudson and his family made me realize that I was gravely mistaken. I had to be at FireBrick. This proved that the large opulent room I was in, which was infused with Hudson's scent, was actually his.

Where did he go? This was not over. He does not get to forcibly take me away from my home and shove me into his.
