*HUDSON’S POV*

“Mom!” Phoebe cried, jumping out of my lap to protest, “How can you say that?”

“Look at you,” Halle referred to her daughter and blatantly added, “You are as reckless as they come. You are unfit to be a Luna. You can barely take care of yourself, much less a pack of wolves.”

Jack glanced apologetically at me and did not dare to object to his wife. He left the discussion between mother and daughter.

“Don’t say that about me!” Phoebe yelled standing up with her fists jabbing at her sides. “Do you want him to reject me?”

“He already did that, Phoebe,” Halle hit a point that I hated and her eyes were filled with iciness, “That’s because he knew that you could never make a good Luna. Just ask him.”

All three people turned to me, compelling me to talk. “I love Phoebe and I will marry her.” I stood by her side, rubbing her hands downwards. “My pack loves her. She’s naturally a Luna in every way.”
