AUTHOR’S POV "Could you please bring some order to the court?" Lord Wallace, a member of the Werewolf Council and the second in command after Joshua, smacked his staff three times on the ground, and he also infused each strike with a little bit of energy so that it would better alert them to the fact that he was getting bored of listening to them argue with one another. AUTHOR'S POV "Did you hear? The human woman Alpha Joshua brought to the mansion last night had already bewitched him before he came back and that is why she holds so much power over him." While another of the servants was working on the laundry, one of them said, while vigorously wagging his tail. The woman who was standing next to him gave a rapid nod of her head. She had also heard about this, and she commented, "But you should not call her a human, she displayed her powers last night! Didn't you notice how she destroyed practically half of the mansion with her powers?" The woman yelled out in surprise. "You have it exactly right; that woman is not even a human. I was able to detect a faint whiff of kinship emanating from her, despite the fact that it was so faint. Now, don't stare at me like that; you know that I have the most acute sense of smell of all of us." "Ah…" Aileen exhaled a sigh of contentment as she eased herself into the warm water that Lila had brought over for her. It was such a relief to have someone who would do what you wanted without making a fuss about it. Within the water, there were a lot of rose petals and scented soaps, and the sound of the water moving around was soothing to Aileen's hearing. It was like music to her ears. Her muscles were strained from the roughly five long hours of training that she had received from that slave driver, but her body was still tingling excitedly from the experience. JOSHUA'S POV After Aileen ran away from her room and into the dressing room, I sat on the bed and covered my face with my hands. I didn't know what came over me nor why I was acting like a wolf in heat. I knew that we have a connection, but I didn't think that it would be to this extent. The moment I saw her, I wanted to take her till she begged for mercy. I wanted to see her writhe under me and moan in pleasure, I wanted to see her… Fuck! "You are still very injured, Miss. Please be very careful." As Vivian tossed vases, glass glasses, and anything else that could break at the walls, Vivian's reliable maid, Hailey, stood by the side. Her hair was disheveled, and she appeared to have suffered significant further wounds; blood even trailed directly after her. Vivian stared wide-eyed at the damaged walls and all of the shattered glasses that were strewn across the floor; but, no matter how hard she flung those objects, they were unable to soothe her rage. AUTHOR'S POV "Alpha Joshua! That woman was caught red handed! How could you possibly continue to make an argument in her favor?” Harriet yelled while pounding his fists on the table. Joshua let out a long sigh as he thought about the fact that this man had called for two council sessions to discuss Aileen in only the span of three days. Joshua put his hands together on his hurting forehead and was about to say something when the front door of the office opened. He inhaled deeply as the comforting scent of Aileen washed over him like a refreshing wind, and he couldn't help but crack a grin. She did come after all.
