AILEEN’S POV "Whoa… This spot is stunning; I don’t know how I could have missed it all these years that I stayed here." I breathed in the scent of the clean river and the forest that was some miles away from us. It was a good thing that we chose to come to this place, the smell of alcohol, of sex and everything that was in between burned my nose. I held onto the railings as I raised my head and closed my eyes, I listened to the wind and thought about everything that had happened. The burden that had been weighing on my heart for a prolonged amount of time was finally lifted when I transformed into a werewolf. Author’s POV As soon as Aileen entered through the portal, her senses were assaulted by the powerful scent of werewolves and the spark of energy. In her line of sight was a vast area of land that was brimming with enticing greenery, the musty aroma of ancient forests, and the scent of the moist ground. The moon hung low in the sky, and its light shone brightly upon all of the werewolves as well as the towering trees. "Does time pass in a different way here?" Aileen had a question. In the other world, it was morning, but here in this place, it's already dark. However, based on the fact that Joshua gave a dismissive nod, it did not appear that this was the case. "The light of the moon always casts a shadow over this world. The elders say that the end of the world will come the day when the sun rises at this location. AUTHOR’S POV After receiving instructions from Joshua, who had gone out to take care of something else, one of the mansion's maids showed Aileen the way to her room. Both of them proceeded along the hallways in a deafening hush; neither Aileen nor the servants spoke a word, and Aileen did not care; she was immersed in her own thoughts, and she could also sense the menacing eyes that were directed towards her. In addition to this, she questioned something that left her perplexed and wondering, "Why are you leading me in circles? You were instructed to show me the way to my room, weren't you? Even though we have passed by this location three times at this point, we have not yet arrived at where you are taking me to?" "Even though Aileen has not accepted the mating mark yet, due to the fact that I stayed with her during her transformation, her inner wolf has recognized me as her mate and mine did too so there is nothing to worry about, Aileen does not have anything to do with whatever is happening." Joshua stated in a firm tone, and when Liam attempted to interject, Joshua looked at him, which made him to stop talking. He would never permit anybody to suspect Aileen of having any involvement in whatever is occurring, even with so many things happening; he would also have to cope with the council and their prejudice of humans and their old fashioned way of thinking. AUTHOR’S POV "Could you please bring some order to the court?" Lord Wallace, a member of the Werewolf Council and the second in command after Joshua, smacked his staff three times on the ground, and he also infused each strike with a little bit of energy so that it would better alert them to the fact that he was getting bored of listening to them argue with one another. After they had finished their conversation, Mr. Wallace turned his head to have a look at Joshua, who was being quiet and had his attention fixed on Harriet. Joshua was aware that he was being watched, and when he turned around, the two of them made eye contact. After the fight with Vivian, Harriet called for a meeting in the council. Not only was he angry that a ‘human’ woman had dared to injure his daughter, he was also angry that his house had been embarrassed. While another of the servants was working on the laundry, one of them said, while vigorously wagging his tail. The woman who was standing next to him gave a rapid nod of her head. She had also heard about this, and she commented, "But you should not call her a human, she displayed her powers last night! Didn't you notice how she destroyed practically half of the mansion with her powers?" The woman yelled out in surprise. "You have it exactly right; that woman is not even a human. I was able to detect a faint whiff of kinship emanating from her, despite the fact that it was so faint. Now, don't stare at me like that; you know that I have the most acute sense of smell of all of us."
