Nancy looked at Lloyd before turning back to look at Lucas while she tried to make sense of her emotions. Lucas’s words were genuine to her and she knew it must have taken him a lot to put aside his pride and apologize to her.

The sad and pitiful look on his face as he spoke was so convincing and did he just shed a tear? Nancy felt her heart melting. Lloyd’s parents were such humble and loving people. Veronica didn’t hold a grudge against her even when she was rude to her and here Lucas was admitting his mistake and apologizing for it.

She thought of her own father and wished he would just be like them. The man had still refused to speak to her after all these years. Even when she calls her mother for the grandkids to speak to them, he refuses to speak to her kids too. It broke Nancy’s heart but her father was a hard man, there was nothing she could do about it.

“I have nothing against you sir, so there is nothing to forgive,” Nancy said, giving a pleasing smile to Lucas.
