Chapter 2: She came back to life

ALPHA KAEL

Standing on the Terrace of the pack house overlooking the endless land of the Cursedmoon pack I intimidatingly played the former Alpha's coin in my fingers.

This coin...it had been forcefully pressed against my forehead numerous times before causing me to feel that so much pain and leaving a bleeding wound on my skin. This very coin was also used to blind my mother, an omega enslaved on this pack in her whole life.

She endured unbearable suffering both physically and emotionally. When she died I lost my protector. And the bullying I endured worsen. Even the simplest mistake could result my punishment as severe as death.

The torment worsen when the Luna of this pack was poisoned and died and I became the culprit in the eyes of everyone. I was framed, which makes the Alpha to punish me even worse.

I was imprisoned within the dungeon for years facing a lot of cruelty. I endured the life of having animal-like food and drinking dirty water.

That days...my only desire was death. I believed there was no chance for me to survive. But when I turned 21 I shifted. It revealed a power within me that I never imagined.

I possess the most powerful and extraordinary Alpha wolf. Unlike any other, my wolf is also me. That's why my decisions are only mine, with no internal conversation to debate.

My heart covered with anger which kicking out all the trace of mercy. In front of everyone , I took the life of their Alpha and become the ruler of the pack. Changing the name of it that reflect the darkness of what I went through.

This known as the Nighthaven pack, and now it bears the name of the Cursedmoon pack. This signifies the curse I cast to this pack under the moonlight, sending my hatred to the moon goddess who allowed me to endure such extreme suffering.

If she truly cared for her people, why did she create heartless werewolves?

I hold no belief in her being a powerful goddess, I only believe the Guardian wolf of Devine Flames who saved me and gave me this power. A crimson fire.

With this gift, I did revenge to those who tormented me and took the life of my mother. Upon the death of the pack's former Alpha, I seized the Alpha title without a care for what was right or wrong.

But of course...the former Alpha had a daughter. And as exchange for the suffering I endured within their family, I demand a lifetime punishment that drained her life until she died but I can't wait that's why I killed her with my claws.

But now, I saw the moonlight abruptly strike a specific area within the territory of the Cursedmoon pack. That made my brows to met in perplexity and that also the cause of flooding reports I received through the mindlink.

"Alpha, the moonlight strike at the very spot of Camilla's grave!"

That report instantly captured my attention allowing the coin on my finger to descend down the ground, I intimidatingly turned around and face this petite omega who awaited my command and issued the order, "Find my coin."

"Yes, Alpha." She bowed.

I also sent an instruction through the mindlink to my council, "Guide me to her grave."

That mutt's grave was located in the middle of the forest that sorounded by an eerie atmosphere of the dark night. Arriving to that place a perplexing view greeted us. There's a woman brushing off the dirt from her bloody dress.

"What the hell..." my Gamma Edom whispered unbelievably.

Realization struck me like a lightning bolt, and the hell yeah, that woman is Camilla! Clenching my fist whilst gritting my teeth I groaned, "Explain to me, what the hell is going on?"

I saw her lifeless form, I can feel her breath stopped that time when my claws piercing her heart. How could she stand alive now and unharmed?

"This is impossible. S-Sh...she's alive? Z-Zombie?" my warrior under Gamma Edom whispered too.

"Camilla!"

That Gamma's call caught her attention, her gaze shifted towards us and then the shock filled in her eyes.

Moving swiftly, she pivoted and attempted to flee. Casting my powers on her I prevented her plan to escape. She can't move now. But, by doing that an unexpected pain of searing heat coursed through my body. The more I'm hurting her, the more I feel it. I had no choice but to let her go.

Despite the pain within me I remained upright while she knelt on the ground. The question lingered on my head, why I can feel her pain?

My warriors pulled her upright and she protested vehemently, "Let me go! How dare you do this to me? I am—"

Her words was cut off that looks like there's a realization dawned upon her. Curiosity piqued within me, specially when she met my gaze, her lips parted as he nodded slowly and grinned with the word 'hehe'

"You what?" My eyes glazed over her feeling annoyed by her reaction. Gradually, the pain of heat within my body subsided.

She looks strange now, she looks like she was not the Camilla who used to beg for mercy, or the Camilla who always knelt, crying and apologizing me.

"Bring her to me," I ordered growling out of annoyance. My warrior obeyed. . Frustration consumed me as I confronted her, asking, "You were dead. How is it that you are now alive?" My gaze trailed over her dress painted with blood and soil but she stands no signs of injury.

She simply shrugged in response, "I don't know."

"You don't know?" Anger surged within me, but she remained unafraid. "You're dead, my claws literally pierce on your damn stone heart." I pulled her slowly closer to me, face to face. "I saw how your eyes closed, how you stopped breathing. You are dead, completely dead, and now you're alive, you still don't know what is happening? What are you?"

"I'm...aw!" she exclaimed when I pressed my claws slightly on her arm, causing me to feel the pain as well. What is this? I immediately ceased my action. "...an omega..." She trailed off, seemed lost in thought. "A pretty Omega, hehe."

What if she was the chosen one of the moon goddess? If that's the case, she's indeed my enemy. She didn't respond she's just avoiding my gaze, so I tightened my grip on her arm. "I want the truth, What are you?" I also attempted to sense her wolf, but I felt nothing. She remained wolfless, her energy still feeble. "You're still nothing."

"Maybe the moonlight granted her a second chance to live, Alpha," speculated Edom. I looked at him in a horrible manner too. But he went on, "In that case...tsk! we can't kill her again, this is the will of the moon goddess."

But, when I sought that moon goddess help, I received nothing. Such favoritism... I glared at the omega whilst telling her, "If the moon goddess saved you, then I will let her witness the more pain you will endure in my hands, you mutt." Anger was evident on my grip as I released her arm and ordered my people, "Put her back to the dungeon and don't dare to give her food or some to drink, let her suffer the pangs of hunger until she dies."
