Chapter 4: His cruelty

ALPHA KAEL

A woman save me from the grip of death. Her words telling that she wasn't the Moon goddess and also says that the man I saw in my dream is not the real Gaurdian wolf of Devine Flame. So who is that man in my dream?

The deafening silence filled my room. There's no Poison in my body anymore but I still felt a lingering weakness that gradually also receded, to help myself regaining strength, I decided to rest for a while.

How dare that slave poison me?

I lay down on the bed, closing my eyes then soon enough I found myself in a familiar place...again.

In front of me the man standing facing he's back to me...I recognized him, he's the one who claimed as the Gaurdian wolf of Divine Flame and he was in divine attire, encircled by a blaze of crimson fire.

"Prince Caden..." I called out in full of respect.

He responded promptly, "The woman who died and came back to life posseses a threat to you. Careful. She's back to take revenge."

His words made me clenched my fist, but suddenly, he was engulfed in a dark gray smoke, and that also caused me to wake up.

Knitting my brows together, thinking what happened, a knock echoed on the door. I flickered my eyes there as my stomach rumbling by a growling hunger sensation. I wondered whose hunger is this, mine? Or that omega's. Aiming my attention to the door, I say, "Take it to my office."

"Yes, Alpha," a female voice replied from outside. I could sense her leaving as well.

Rising from the bed, I suppressed the hunger for a moment but weakness overcame me. I have no choice but to order the Beta to provide food to that omega in the dungeon. Is this the threat Prince Caden told in my dream? To experience her pain?

I took a refreshing shower in the restroom and donning an attire designed to intimidate whoever I faced. When I'm done I snatched the coin from the top my drawer and headed outside. Nemesis greeted me with a cheerful smile, Beta's sister, the one everyone wanted to be my Luna.

"Alpha...You okay now?" she asked softly, gently gripping my arm.

No matter how hard I tried to feel a bond towards her but there's nothing.

She was pretty, alluring, and had the potential to become Luna, yet something within me resisted. Maybe I was born unmated.

Yeah, how can I know the feeling of matebond? My wolf is also me. How can I tell myself who my mate is?  "I'm fine. Stop worrying."

I removed her hand from my arm and leave in front of her but she spoke up, "Someone told me that you asked food for the omega in the dungeon." I halted, and she went on, "Are you now forgiving her mistakes?"

I  hate that woman with utmost intensity. She used to be cruel to me and there was no reason for forgiveness but since she can't be starve and suffer, I had to ensure her protection from death. If someone knows this, she will be the best target for my enemies, both within and outside the pack, just to take me down.

"I don't want her to die right away I just want her to suffer like hell," I lied.

"Why not give her to ten lashes per day? In that way she will feel the pain like death," she suggested.

I turned slightly. "I'm not certain if she will even feel the pain now that she has experienced being dead."

"So, what's your plan?"

It seemed she was unwilling to stop, and that was what I hated, being questioned. I had no choice but to face her and warned,"The more you asked questions, the more my patience runs out."

Because of my words, she automatically bowed and murmured, "Sorry, Alpha."

•CAMILLA•

With the sound of the lashing whip and woman's agonizing cries piercing through the air this dungeon felt like a hellish place. That omega insisted that she wasn't the one who poisoned the Alpha, but nobody listen to her. Was this policy of the mortal werewolves because of Caden's influence?

My heart ached for them, they were the people of the moon goddess, but this is what they are doing

Harming a fellow wolf was a disrespect to her. Even the Oracle is here, guiding them, it seemed not enough to prevent evil.

Despite the sounds of agony I heard footsteps approaching my cell. The sound of the padlock being unlocked echoed. I remained still on the side, awaiting the opening of the door.

Time over the iron door swung open, three furious men walked in wearing black gloves and carrying chains.

Fear filled within me while wondering what they were about to do and then the two men chained my hands and hung them on opposite walls. A burning pain coursed through from my skin to my flesh, and it looks like they noticed it too.

"Do you think...because the Alpha favored you food, you're free from your punishment? Of course he wants you to suffer for you to wish death," sneered the man, grinning, glancing at the reaction of my skin to the silver chain. "I sense you no wolf but why does your skin react to the silver chain? Huh.. why is that?" His demonic eyes widened but tinged with curiosity.

Yeah, my skin reacted because I possessed a wolf form, but I had concealed my scent to prevent them from knowing I wasn't Camilla, I just not prepared myself for this silver chain.

"That means she has a wolf. She died on her 18th birthday that she was supposed to shift, but the Alpha killed her. Maybe her wolf is the reason why she came back to life. In that case, let her wolf out to save her from this hell," grinned one of his companion.

He extended his hand to the left as if requesting something, and that is the whip. I will experience pain and this body might not be able to make it, but perhaps I could.

But when he tested the whip against the floor, I spoke up, "I believe the Alpha didn't make this decision."

Shock flickered in his eyes but eventually, he smirked. "Do you still hope for his mercy? Dream on, mutt."

I mentally laughed at their naivety, but then the whip struck my body.first on my arms, left and right, and then on my back. I could do nothing but endure the pain, I just close my eyes and say nothing.

"It seems you've learned to endure the pain in the afterlife Humm..." he insultingly commented.

"She looks like not Camilla. If she is she would beg and cry like an orphaned pup," guessed the man the slightly tallest to the three, gazing intently at me.

"If she's not Camilla, then who is she?" questioned the man behind me as he keep whiping my body and I only endured it.

"No idea. We only know about the moonlight then found her Alive," answered the one in front of me.

The person on my left side also asked, "Are you still Camilla?"

I closed my eyes first because my body ablaze with heat, my wounds throbbing with pain. "L-Look into my eyes," I said, the pain I feel seeping into my voice. The two men locked their eyes with mine. "W-Who do you see?"

"That's still Camilla's body, of course," reasoned the man to my right.

"And...and regarding my scent..." I gulped down. "Whose scent do you smell?" I asked again

The man behind me growled and declared, "Still the mutt we know!" After his words, he whipped me once more.

Each strike left a scorching pain on my skin. I cried out, but suddenly, someone rushed in. "Stop! The Alpha is coming!"

I just closed my eyes, and soon, I heard a menacing growl. The men inside my cell began to panic, startled and opening my eyes, screams and cries filled through in the air. Before me there's a massive black wolf standing with the ablaze crimson fire eyes.

He uses power of fire punishing the three men. I witnessed how he tore into their bodies, mercilessly taking out their hearts and crushing them like a cake.

He end them in a demonic manner ,this was who he had become...this was how he killed werewolves. And when he become a Demon Alpha God, he would be even more merciless, he would become the greatest enemy of the moon goddess.

When he's done killing , he shifted in human form and suddenly grabbed my neck, asking me in a terrifying manner, "Why I can feel your pain, you damn mutt? What are you?"

"You called me mutt so I'm a mutt."

Out of anger, his claws pierced through my neck, I cried.
