Chapter Twenty Six: Banter

Narek’s POV

I stared hard at the girl in front of me, whose eyes wielded the same intensity as mine.

I had no idea she’d be such a handful. Ms Pendleton painted her to be an angel but the girl in front of me was far from angelic, even though her features appeared to be.

“What did you say?” I asked her as she slowly rose to her feet, holding on to my stern gaze.

“I’m not going to let you toss me around. I’ve had enough of that.” She growled. Easy there, tiger.

“Look, I don’t have time for any of this drama, Uren princess and I couldn’t care less about the unfortunate events that have taken place in your life, so you either get out, or kneel as punishment for your misbehaviour.”

I had my eyes on her, watching her every move, but nothing prepared me for what she did next.I could have sworn she’d gone mad, because she swung her hand toward my face, trying to hit me but I stopped her midway and her hands hung there in the air.
