10. Turned

I stood in silence, observing the man in front of me. His silver hair gave him the appearance of an old man, but his voice betrayed his age. "What are you staring at?" he asked, a sly smile on his face as he remained seated in his chair, as though I were an artifact in a museum.

"I see that you are a magnificent creature," he said, his eyes glistening with admiration. "I am Marcelo, and I know everything about your kind."

Though his expression remained stoic, I could sense the excitement simmering inside him. I wondered what could be causing such excitement.

He leaned in closer and began sniffing me, an act that normally would have made me uncomfortable. Surprisingly, however, I felt a sense of connection between us, our pulses beating in unison. As my stomach growled with hunger, a voice in my consciousness whispered, "Bite him." I quickly pushed away the thought, trying to stay in control.

"Get out!" I yelled, pushing him forcefully against the wall.
