16. Training

Today is the day that the witches will help me. It was my first time sleeping on the ground with only clothes to separate me from the bare dirt of the ground.

"Aria, can I come in?" I heard Jax's voice behind the thick curtain with tiny gaps from the other side. "Come in," I threw one of the blankets with weird marks on the side where it was once placed before looking at Jax who only stared down at me.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Don't act like you don't know what you did." He smirks with his jaw clenching.

I stared back at him remembering the night we kissed. The kiss that I initiated out of nowhere.

"Oh, that! It was to check your pulse." I lied before dashing outside but I forgot that it was early in the morning. The sunlight struck my skin that was out in the open, and I hissed.

I ran back inside with my skin burning, I was smoking all over the tent my burns are barely healing. "Why does it take so long to heal?"

"You need to feed, you're weak enough to heal that fast," Jax explaine
