Russell's POV

"Yes, I found a house," Ryker said. "How did you know?"

I'm talking to Kuya Ryker over the phone. Claire and I are walking to the parking lot. When I spoke to Ryker, I asked him about our house. I want Daniel and I to move as soon as possible so we can fix the relationship I broke between us. I want to make peace with him, but as long as we are at my parents' house, Daniel will be content not to talk to me and use his work as an excuse because he knows I am with my family.

"I know you move fast when it comes to Daniel. Besides, you want us to get along, don't you?"

"Of course. I'd like us to get along. Even if Daniel is a fool, I won't let you hurt him like you hurt your family and me."

"Jeez, do you have to be like that, overreacting?" I said. "Remember that because of Daniel's work. My life is also in danger. We're in the same situation."

"You're different. You meant to hurt him, Russell."

"Fine," I said. I don't have allies at home. "Give me the new house's address."
