Daniel's POV

"Did I fatigue you?"

Russell and I were eating, and I was smiling. We don't wear anything and sit at the table facing each other when we eat. Russel looked at me and smiled at her reaction.

"How come you never seem to get tired?" she asked. "You think you're way too old compared to my age."

"Oh? Old, huh." I chuckled and said. "Am I old-looking to you? Have I not proven myself to you?"

She gave a flirtatious smile. "Well, to be fair to you, you have proved yourself to me."

"Many, many times..."

"Yes, many times."

I kept looking at Russell while she was eating. I thought, what if her bully classmate didn't exist? Would she end up with me? What if I waited for her to finish college in her twenties? Would we still be like this, or would she choose Ryan over me?

"What kind of gift will you give me?"

"Gift?" I grimaced.
