Chapter 63: Scouting

Daniel's POV

"Damn, should I regret becoming a cop?"

I was driving to work that morning. After eating and having another round of intimate moments with Russell in the bathroom, I had to leave. I hesitated to go, but I couldn't because the student was already at the station, and she was with Javier.

I quickly parked my car in the parking lot and hurriedly got out of it. I want to finish this job as soon as possible to return home to my wife. I looked for Javier right away and went into the office. I caught up with them in my office. My witness, Ana Sanchez, sat on the couch while Javier stood by the door.

I immediately went up to Ana. "Are you okay?"

She nodded. "Have you asked for a witness protection program?" I asked Javier.

"Yeah, I've made a request," Javier said.

I faced Ana and took her hand. "You won't regret it, Ana. "Don't worry, and I'll take care of you."

She gave the nod.
