"Already?" I asked, dropping my eyes on Mrs Parker, who held Carla's hand.

"Do you want another extra month?" She chuckled at me, with father joining in.

I smirked, answering, "Hell no. A week alone is like hell with her."

"Same here! Even a day is like prison!" Carla said out, acting like she wants to throw up.

That got both my father and Mrs Parker laughing. I had to join in, even though I wasn't feeling that good about the decision.

"It's fine if she heads back home with you. In fact, I'll have peace of mind," I said, looking at Carla.

She dimmed her eyes at me, while I teased her.

"Oh, goodness. I feel so tired. I could use some rest right now," Mrs Parker said, stretching out her arms.

When I heard her, an idea came to my mind.

"You both just came back from a long trip. How about you rest here for today and you can head back home tomorrow with Carla. At least you'd be strong enough to leave without looking sleepy, " I suggested to them.
