Chapter 14. His letter

"We will be having a simple night party tomorrow. You'll meet our subordinates, and your family will be there too."

SURVEYING myself in front of the mirror, I am wearing a red gothic dress with a deep V-Neck. The top has long sleeves that are pulled up to my elbows. I have on black heels and matching red lipstick, and my hair is down as usual. My makeup is subtle but still noticeable enough.

It is not my style, but I need it to look good at tonight's party. I needed to look comfortable because there were many visitors, and looking elegant was paramount.

While I was getting ready, someone tossed a crumpled paper from outside the window that landed on the floor next to me.
