Aaron's POV

Natalia moved aside as she allowed me into her room, and I tried to ignore the force of the mate bond that was pushing me to do more than just stare at her. I saw the look in her eyes, and I knew that she was not going to let me go until I tell her the truth.

She sat on her bed, while I took the liberty to go to her sofa, and faced her.

"I know why you are asking, and I know that you deserve to hear the truth, but are you sure you are ready for it?" I asked, and she nodded. "This will ruin the memory of your father you have in your head. This will change a lot of things for you. I know that you do not already trust people, but this would damage your ability to trust even further." I warned, looking directly into her eyes, and I could hear her heart race. She looked like she was weighing her options.

"It would change the way I see my father, but he is already dead. What is the point of me holding on to a facade of a memory anyway?" She asked, and I smiled at her line of tho
