Chapter 17: Warming up and Try

Gray couldn't help but feel sorry for what she did to Judah. She had already labeled him a hungry wolf who only wanted to hump her and breed. And now, she realized Judah actually had helped her in a way she was too blind to notice.

All she had done was run away, fight, and loathed him with her entire life. Was she wrong to judge the man? And she knew he didn't deserve that.

Gray looked down at her empty bowl. The tears started to swell up, feeling guilty that she had overreacted.

"I'm sorry," she started. "Joining this game against my will was not what I really wanted. I want to fall in love with someone who can see me, not just a breeding wolf, and make me feel like I'm their true mate. And I want to feel loved not because of my ability to carry multiple pups at one pregnancy but because I am me, a Haquihana. I want to fall in love with my terms, not this way. And most of all, I want to be free," she added, looking at Judah. "If I were with you, I'm unsure if I would learn to love
