Lucius's POV

I took the phone from Jolynn and walked out of the room at once, my wolf already boiling with disappointment at my failure to defend our mate.

"Alpha Kasper, why are you calling?" I hissed.

"Oh, I didn't call. Jolynn did and she said you wanted to speak to me..." He responded on the phone and then it occurred to me that it was all a part of her game.

I sharply turned back to the room, my patience completely exhausted.

"I am sorry for the disturbance, Alpha Kasper. Jolynn must have made a mistake," I said and ended the call before he could even respond.
