A Mere Decoy

Diane's POV

Without waiting for her response I turned away and moved out of the kitchen at once with anger flaring inside of me.

I longer had an appetite and all I wanted to do was launch the oatmeal on someone but I held it all in.

With my eyes completely clouded with anger, I ran into a wall.

"Shit!" I hissed as my balance on the bowl loosened and it slipped to the floor, the ceramic plate shattering on impact.

"I am so sorry." His voice filled the space between us, and that was when I realized that it wasn't a wall I had run into, it was Lucius.

My anger seemed to shift away from the fake blonde in the kitchen to the man in front of me.

Ignoring him, I bent down and started picking the pieces of the bowl.

"Leave it, let me do that," Lucius said, joining me on the floor.

I blinked, my anger increasing to a higher level as I felt his fingers brush over mine.

"Stop it, Lucius!" I yelled, glaring at him.

His eyes looked hurt but I didn't care. I knew his game and I knew what he was cap
